Where are you now?:  Sailing the Chesapeake this summer, prepping the boat for the new January rally to the Bahamas.  

When did you get involved with the Salty Dawgs?  I joined this organization for my first Rally, the 2021 DelMarVa Rally, where I was captain.  I also was part of the DownEast Rally 2021 as crew on Gypsy Sol, DownEast Rally 2022 as Captain, and the 2022 Caribbean Rally as crew on Dream Weaver.  I started volunteering during the Caribbean Rally in 2022 working the "Dawg House" in Hampton.  I was impressed and appreciated Matt Brenna when he was a Shoreside Coordinator for that rally.  It was comforting knowing a friend had eyes on my boat.  I followed his lead and became a Shoreside Coordinator for the 2023 Caribbean Rally and the 2024 Homeward Bound Rally.  I want to provide others that same level of support and opportunity to make their dreams become a reality, safely.  Finally, I was the leader for the 2024 DelMarVa Rally.  It was such a joy to see folks take off their training wheels!

Why do you volunteer?  I wanted to give back since this group afforded me an opportunity to start to live out my dreams.  I appreciate the support and guidance from this organization which allowed me to do my first overnight, and the continued encouragement to keep going beyond my dreams.  Through Salty Dawgs, I have a safety network of skilled and educated friends surrounding me, who understand why I do what I do, and are just a call away.  

Why I love the Salty Dawgs:  I have been pleasantly surprised by how many deep friendships I made during the DelMarVa Rally, and that network has expanded since.  In fact, friends I met on the 2021 DelMarVa Rally who I saw again on the 2021 DownEast Rally became one of my friendships that was life-changing.  I met Luc Leconde and Cory Boyer, owners of a beautiful Hallberg Rassy 46 Solana V.  I was fortunate enough to be invited to crew for them on a transatlantic leg as they were completing a circumnavigation.  

Other interests:  I love to bike ride, play tennis and downhill ski..... and of course fix things, which fits well with boat ownership!  I also love to travel, on and off the boat.
