THE SALTY DAWG RALLY TO MAINE

If you are headed up the coast this summer, two great rallies can add to the fun (and safety) of your adventure. The Salty Dawg Sailing Association is inviting all sailors to join a cruise-in-company from the Chesapeake to Maine and then a second rally from Maine to Nova Scotia.

Enjoy the cool weather, beauty, and flavors of Maine and then escape the lobster pots to journey to the land of Celtic music on Nova Scotia’s Cape Breton.

Some cruisers will join us in the Chesapeake Bay and follow the route of both rallies to the Bras d’Or Lakes. Others will join us along the way. Whatever works for you!

Our third annual Rally to Maine will depart the Chesapeake, on  July 10, and arrive in Dutch Harbor RI about five days later. ETA in Rockland ME is about July 17.

The Rally to Maine is a great way to travel in company on the offshore passages to Newport and Penobscot Bay, and gain some excellent offshore experience … enjoy the cool weather, beauty and flavors of Maine.

The SDSA unites experienced ocean sailors with developing cruisers to broaden their blue water horizons. All Salty Dawg rallies and events are led by seasoned sailors who volunteer their time and knowledge to help cruisers realize their dreams … safely. If you would like to join us as a volunteer, we would love to benefit from your passion, personality, and expertise as we plan future events. Click here to volunteer.
