The Salty Dawg Sailing Association hosts multiple Rendezvous’s along the East Coast of the US and in the Caribbean.  These are fun events with wonderful opportunities to rub shoulders with other sailors, share sea stories, plan future cruises and passages, and just deal with boat issues.  Each event has an informative and entertaining agenda, some with a noted speaker or panel of speakers, some with entertainment, but all are memorable.

Our Rendezvous’s are open to all coming by land or by water, with special discounts off any fees to Association Members.  Our annual schedule of Rendezvous’s includes the following:

  • January 24th – Francis Bay, St. John, USVI.

Annual dinghy raft up and drift, bring an hors de oeuvres to share and your own drink, meet new sailing friends, and enjoy a lot of laughs.  Contact to confirm date and any further details.  Just show up – no reservation required.

  • February 12th – 19th  – Annual Dominica Rendezvous.

This coincides with the Annual Portsmouth Area Yacht Services (PAYS) group’s annual Yachtie Appreciation Week.  Salty Dawg presence expands cruisers’ awareness of the beauty of Dominica, and the many opportunities for exploration and socializing with other cruisers and island people.  This goes a long way to helping Dominica recover from the damage wrought by floods in 2015 from Tropical Storm Erika.  Salty Dawgs from up and down the island chain make tracks for Dominica for a full week of social activities each evening.  Also, If you have not visited Dominica it is a geographically dramatic and lush island, with deep ravines, excellent hiking tours, river excursion with the boat boys, hike to visit the Carib Indian reservation, or just a taxi tour.  Contact .
