When did you join the Salty Dawgs? 18 months ago when we met other salty dawgs in the Caribbean

How have the Salty Dawgs helped you in your sailing adventures?  In the Caribbean, we kept meeting Salty Dawgs socially - so they’ve helped keep us entertained and social. 

Which rallies or rendezvous have you joined? None

Any major boat projects currently underway?  No, well, let’s hope not! We’ve spent two years getting Novara ready to attempt the Northwest Passage, so have done many significant boat projects, like new sails, replacing motors on anchor windlass - the list is very long and expensive!

What are your sailing plans for the next 6-12 months?  Continue north in Greenland to Illulissat area, then cross Davis strait to Labrador and work our way north to Pond inlet. Then, depending on ice, find a northwest passage to go through, heading for Gjao Haven and Cambridge Bay. From there it is another 1500nm to Point Barrow. Then to Nome, Alaska and on to the Aleutian Islands and Kodiak. We will probably winter the boat in Kodiak and get off to go to land for a few months.
